Body Movement Psychotherapy –
Adults, Young People and Children
Welcome, my name is Hannah. I offer Body Movement Psychotherapy for adults, young people and children. I have 20 years body work experience, 15 of which have been providing this type of Psychotherapy for adults and children within the NHS.
I offer a safe, consistent and confidential space for people to explore their experiences and difficulties on an individual, short or long term basis.
‘Sometimes words alone cannot fully communicate our feelings and experiences. This type of psychotherapy uses the body, movement and creative processes alongside words to help guide us and transform our experiences at a deep level. This is particularly useful in helping those with issues related to birth, early life events or physical symptoms that are hard to explain.’
Body Movement Psychotherapy can also help with both emotional and physical issues related to: self confidence, stress, experiences in early life, trauma, abuse, self image, relationship difficulties, anxiety & depression, eating disorders, overwhelming feelings, unexplained physical symptoms, life limiting conditions, and the effects of separation and bereavement.
I also offer a short term focused BodyMind approach for people who suffer with hard to treat and/or hard to explain physical symptoms. It is a holistic therapy that provides an alternative to physical treatments, psychotherapy and counselling. It can help with – IBS, chronic fatigue, pain, fibromyalgia, insomnia, neurological/cardiovascular symptoms, skin conditions, problems conceiving and symptoms of anxiety and depression.
I provide Supervision for qualified psychotherapists and for those in training on the MA in DMP at Goldsmiths University London. I also work as a therapist in schools for the local council and as training manager for a company providing the NHS with BodyMind Approaches to working with medically unexplained symptoms.
