Dramatherapist and Integrative Counsellor
I offer 1:1 and small group dramatherapy. I work with a client centred emphasis, using creative techniques such as: art, imagery and small world projective work, story, script and poetry, role play, puppets, movement, creative visualisation and Mindfulness.
As well as being a dramatherapist, I am also an integrative counsellor and as part of my therapeutic toolbox, I offer talking as well as non-verbal and action based therapy. I have worked therapeutically with adults, young people and children and have experienced working in the following areas: substance use, bereavement, anxiety, depression, Post Natal depression, low self-esteem, body image, personal development and trauma work.
I am passionate about working with the whole person, supporting clients to work creatively to express themselves, tell their story, find solutions and other ways of being and move towards healing, health, personal growth and development.
My background is in education in which I worked as an English teacher in mainstream, before moving to special education and teaching English to pregnant young women and young mothers.
